I never cease to be amazed. The new 90 day reporting format with the emphasis on login and no tm 6 form seems to cure all my previous problems with doing the 90 day report online. They even email me now with a reminder that my 90 day report is due 15 days before its due date.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The new 90-day reporting format for visa compliance in Thailand has streamlined the process, allowing users to report online without the need for a TM6 form. Users appreciate the reminder emails sent 15 days prior to the due date, although some note that the system may not be fully functional for everyone. Discussions highlight mixed experiences with the implementation of the online system.
, You can try online reporting first. You can try a few times online even if rejected, and you still have time for reporting in person at the immigration office.
The system has kept being improved bit by bit. A while ago, the system gave you this kind of message, "For further information, Please contact the Immigration Branch Office in your residence area", always in the rejecting notification mail. (<- no way to find what's wrong, you needed to do try-n-error blindly).
But now, since a couple of months ago, the system is giving you a bit more specific reason for rejection, so you can try to fix that part and re-try. If still a no-go, you can go in person.
90days report windows are:
- At the local immigration office: 15 days before until 7 days later the due date
- Online: 15 days before until the due date
- By legacy mail (EMS from Thailand post only): post stamped at least 15 days before the due date
the new system has mixed reports. Some have been able to do it first time and some have had to go back in person the first time.
One person was told by an immigration officer that the old system let the officers correct small errors and approve submissions, but the new system does not allow any changes at all so even the smallest error will get your submission rejected. So if you try and it's rejected, double check everything and try again before going in person.
She asked me to resubmit it with the correction, but my point is that this would never have happened under the old system, where you simply got a vague message where you had no idea why it was not accepted.

Sure, but after changing my passport and spending 4 years with a haphazard system that allowed me to report online twice in that period, I am happy to see even a small improvement.

Yes, it's not amazing that Thais can set up a working computer program.
Thanks for the report.
