nothing to do with banking! It's low season same every year, its quieter than some September in the past as many Chinese now go to Japan. Expats are angry and so they should be, but only Bangkok bank will suffer long term from them

I heard people when upset threatening to move to another country but yet to hear or see anyone actually moving. No where is perfect but it's important to follow the rules and news, been here over 20 years and yet to find anther paradise

My friend went last week for yearly renewal, used agent and SCB and all completed within a morning

Yes one friend was angry and asked me to go with him to unlock his bank account. Found he had not followed the requirements (been online dozens of times for 6 months) phone number wrong, new Sim never registered it to passport nor bank, also moved condo and now advised change of address. Many are self inflicted and appears to be those who used an agent. If you bring funds, follow the procedure no problem
