OK. I'm curious to know if it is what you'll actually need in 80+ days when you file it. It's the first I've heard of any office requiring the arrival TM30. Yes, the hotel is required to file the TM30, but is not the one they will want when filing the 90 day report. It's always the most recent, or current TM30. Which based on your other responses will be when you rent a condo in 30 days. Of course each immigration office likes to change rules occasionally so I could be wrong.
so you are saying that when you file the 90 day report in Pattaya they will ask you for two TM30s? Your most recent TM30 and the one from your arrival if different? Have you actually been asked for this when filing previous 90 day reports?
It feels like perhaps there's the possibility you may be confusing the need to have a TM30 filed for every place you stay overnight and what TM30 is actually required when filing the 90 report.
yes, a lot of offices including Chiang mai require a new TM30 when you re-enter the country. Whether you changed your address or not. That is different than requiring the TM30 from your arrival when completing a 90 day report as the OP is saying Pattaya requires. He could have 30 different TM30s between now and when he needs to file the 90 day report and is saying they require the one upon arrival in addition to his most recent and current one at the time of filing.
are you sure you need to show the TM30 from arrival? I hadn't heard of that one, but maybe it's office specific like many other things. In Chiang Mai they only care about your most recent and current TM30, which I assume will be different for you when you actually need to file.
Why are you filing a 90 day report if you've only been in Thailand for 2 days? You only need to file it if you've been inside of thailand for 90 consecutive days. When you leave and come back those 90 days resets. Unless you plan on living in the same hotel for the next 87 days, or have other business with immigration sooner, then you have no need for a TM30 from them for quite a while.
correct. I assumed that they needed more info from the passport that isn't on the license to file the TM30 though. Perhaps that is not the case. I do know many hotels don't even ask for any ID and therefore don't file the TM30.
