Mate you shouldn't have any problem. Im a FIFO worker and spend all my leave in Thailand and have done so for last 5 years, was chatted once about 2 years ago by a female immigration officer saying i come many times and I should have a visa, which is true. And I'm now actually in the process of getting a retirement visa together. Its not right I know but I know guys that have been spending 6 months a year in Thailand, one month working aboard and one month in thailand and have been doing that for the last 15 to 20 years..there married to a thai have houses and kids and are swinging the tourist visa all this time...it all depends on the immigration officer you get and there take on the matter when trying to come through. Good luck and if your worried you can at the very least apply for a tourist visa before you come.

I usually get a one way ticket to Bangkok. Then just buy a burner ticket to Kuala Lumpur which most times only cost me around $75 AUD..
