 if TM30 at Sattahip, cannot go Rayong. Must go to Jomtien or Siracha but Jomtien makes more sense.

 but nevertheless Penang is a nice place, I have to agree. I've lived in Malaysia over 10 years (mostly KL) and I loved to go to Penang.

 I don't think there is a direct train. All trains from Thai or Malaysia side terminate at Padang Besar.
