Hey guys, wanting to ship my laptop from Australia to Thailand. It's a second hand laptop with a market value of $800-900 USD. Will there be taxes or duties? If so, how much? Thanks.

I’m just starting to research shipping cost and auto import duties paid to Thailand which I believe is 80% of the value ? Is that accurate? I’m going to be expat towards the end of the year and I’d like to pack up everything I’d like to bring with me and put it all in the bed of my pickup and ship it,so far it looks like I can ship the truck for $5k and 80% of about $12-14k (truck value)so about $13k in cost.I have about $15k tied up in my household electronics (receiver,quality surround system,55”Sony,desktop,monitor )that I’ll get peanuts for if I sell it here and I’ll only wanna rebuy the same things when I move to Thailand,selling and rebuying a vehicle will also be needed..

Or I can skip the shipping the truck part and just ship the electronics,personal stuff in a 48”x48x60 pallet with a weight of 500 lbs for $2k via fedex

Has anyone bought PC stuff on Lazada thar came from China? If so we're they charged Vat etc on delivery?
