TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on whether VAT charges apply to purchases made on Lazada that are shipped from China. Several community members share their experiences, indicating that items shipped via China Post usually do not incur VAT, while those sent via courier services like DHL or FedEx likely will. There's mention of the VAT exemption for certain goods under the Thailand-China trade agreement, though some clarify that all imports are generally subject to VAT regardless of origin. It's also noted that Lazada's pricing may already include VAT as part of their DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping policy.
you need to pay VAT on everything you import. What you might referring to is the Form E (ASEAN China FTA) which regulates the import duties on certain goods.

No you're wrong. Lazada shipments already include the VAT. Incoterm DDP.
DDP means the supplier covers all costs of delivery and tax, I have never seen any mention of it on any lazada store. They all seem only to have a nominal delivery charge, probably less than if you were to ship internally in Thailand. Hence my question.
Yes DDP means Delivered Duty Paid which is how Lazada operate; they show a shipping/delivery cost which encompasses all aspects of costs from EXW to DDP so you don’t have any issues with VAT/Customs/Duties etc.
the prices for items ordered from Lazada are include all taxes and shipping costs, regardless from where they are shipped. However, I don't know how they handle the custom clearance. It's not about deliveries from Lazada. Maarten mentioned there is a 0% VAT agreement between China and Thailand which is not correct. Any import is subject to VAT, regardless of origin and its just a question on how companies like Lazada handle the import process.
anything over 1000 b need to declare and pay any VAT for foreign goods

Best go to jib store, pic your own components or tell them what it needs to do. Eg office or games. Google best gaming pc and works down to match budget. Wouldn't trust pc from China, simply not possible to address any issues.
I will go to Bannana IT shop. The mini pc I have in mind has a good reputation by the "experts" on YouTube, I'm keep my options open.

If things are sent China post (EMS) 99.9% you won’t get charged. If you order stuff from China and it’s sent by courier DHL/FedEx etc 99.9% you will get charged.
