they need to give advice for a visa, that is suitable for your circumstances, but it may not necessarily be the best option, because they are after all, running a business, you need to do your homework, and make the decision yourself, as to what is best for you, that's my experience with agents anyway.

with the DTV visa, you enter Thailand and get stamped in for 180 days, then you either border bounce or do an extension, you can only extend each stamp once, and then you need to leave Thailand and come back, just rinse and repeat for 5 years, apart from doing a border bounce, you can stay in Thailand the whole year, it's not 6 months in, 6 months out.

I would think it's very unlikely agents have any connections in embassies/consulates outside of Thailand, so I'm assuming applicants are send an embassy/consulate, where it only needs to show a balance at the time of application in any bank, so it would be done in the same way as you described with the retirement visa 🤔

Are you enquiring for someone else?? You seem to be Thai.

correct me if I'm wrong, people are saying with the DTV visa, they have provided 3-6 months of bank statements, but the ฿500k doesn't need to be there for any length of time, it just needs to show a final balance of ฿500k, so perhaps the agents are going it in a similar way to the retirement visa, where they just fire the money into someone's account, print a statement, and fire it back out again, the difference with the agents doing the retirement visa, some how it gets overlooked, that the money has not been there for the previous two months, but that doesn't seem to be a requirement with the DTV, so maybe they are okay to travel to say Lao, with all the paperwork and just apply.

I've seen agents offering packages, that include transport, accommodation, assistance completing any paperwork, and also offering assistance with the financial requirements, very expensive tho, I enquired with one agent, and was told depending on the package, it's between ฿70k to ฿90k baht 😲😳😂🤣😂🤷

you say your Thai girlfriend pays ฿10-฿40 baht, to withdraw cash from an ATM?? with a Thai bank account, it's usually ฿15-฿20, only if you use an ATM outside of the province the bank account was opened in, but only if using the physical card, if you select "cardless withdrawal" it is free outside of province.

an agent can assist with opening a bank account no problem, regardless of how long someone has been in Thailand, and also you don't need a long-term lease, your information is incorrect, I'm guessing you personally visited a bank, and that is what the staff said to you, and now you think every bank in Thailand has those same requirements, banks in Thailand are independent businesses, most have different requirements, the bank manager decides what is required, it is true that banks now ask for a long-term visa, when you walk in the bank "yourself" but what you don't seem to understand or believe, agents can easily assist with opening accounts for People, regardless of visa status or lease agreements, or how long you have been in Thailand 🤷🙆🤦

Open a Thai bank account, she might possibly be able to do it herself, when she is on an ED visa, if she can't, an agent will assist her for around ฿4000.

why would you be worried about giving your phone to a government official at a border of entry 👍😘
