Krungsri works fine for me! Lazada doesn't need the card though, just use paybill tab inside the mobile banking app

I went to DLT in Bang Khun Thian which is near Rama 2. And they didn't have English subtitles. 😔🙄 Only the male staff at the counter who spoke English to me, others were unable to speak English. The officers when I had conducted the tests also gave me instructions in Thai mix with very little English.

afaik, and based on my experience, no. But since I'm Indonesian and my DLs are in Indonesian, I had to translate it to English

it doesn't matter. For the vision and brake tests you can pass it easily since the test instruments are clearly understandable. And the movie, you only need to watch. But yeah, all in Thai. No worries, I can passed it easily, just boring.

nope. Even the instructions will be in Thai (as I had experienced before). And the boring test I mentioned above is, you've got to sit for AN HOUR and watch the educational movie about traffic rules and regulations and the consequences if you break it, ALL IN THAI and you have to keep silent, can't ask anything to anyone, no chatting, no texting, no eating, drinking, even yawning. Make sure the surveillance officer sees your eyes stick on the movie. I had been yelled just because I nodded down my head 🙄

If you're in Thailand and have your country DLs ready, soon after you have the cert.of residence then go to embassy to have your licenses attested. When it's done, just go to the nearest DLT and fill the form, bring the copy of all docs and you'll only have to go through the vision, brake, and boring tests.

"Customer Identification purposes" mentioned in the 1st paragraph is strongly related to KYC/Know Your Customer process.

Mostly because if the system flagged that either the reciever or the sender (depends on whose system which detected it) subjects compliance department and need to give their identities, reason to send the money, relationship between the sender and receiver and sometimes even the proof of relationship and/or the proof of how the money obtained/used.

Unfortunately in South East Asia, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are on top of the fraud suspected countries.

it's part of the compliance act towards the anti money laundering regulation. Chances are the form didn't correctly filled in.

I assume it was regularly transferred by person (by going to the bank's teller, deposit the money, etc) or thru remittance agents, not by direct debit.
