July n August flights are very pricey. Have to book 3 months before to get a good price n that is also expensive. Last minute booking is super expensive.

How safe is it for tourists to visit the three southern provinces of Thailand?

We were in Hatyai for about 3 days, no problem. Thats u der 2 weeks ago. Seems n felt peaceful. Later took a train to Golok. There were a few armies with guns on the train. The train ride was uneventful n peaceful. Then to Kota Bharu in Malaysia. It's was a good journey overall.

Can I sell my house in the UK and buy a villa in Thailand?

You can buy a house but never can own the land. Your names can be on the "chanoot" but a Thai person or company owns the land. I heard also another option is to own a company n put the house under the company's name. In everything, you'll need a good honest lawyer to help with the legal part.
