Do I need to report my address to immigration again after returning to Thailand if I've already registered online?

Already registered TM30 online when moved to a new condo, then travelled to Malaysia for 2 weeks and came back yesterday. Do I need to report my address to the immigration again? Because I’ve seen the news online that if a foreigner stay at the same address, even when we leave the country for a while, we don’t have to report again? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to report your address to immigration upon returning to Thailand can vary by immigration office. Since you have already registered your TM30 online when you moved, many users suggest that if your address has not changed, you likely do not need to report it again. However, some advise to log in and confirm or report it again for peace of mind. It's best to directly consult your local immigration office for the most accurate information.

Ask your immigration office....

If address is the same, I was told by immigration, no need to report.

All offices do not follow the same rules

Never done it. And no one gives a hoot. I have asked my local immigration office and they simply say no problem as they know where I live and have done so for years. Besides hotels will... or rather are supposed to... report the foreign guests.

You don't need to report again

Make life easy and just report.

Each immigration office has their own policy on this and it changes from time to time. But if you're registered online and can do it that way, there's no reason not to just login and do it again.

thanks for your reply. Because the agent helped me to register online when I rent this condo (I have no access to the online account), and I asked them to register again, they told me that it’s already registered

no issue for them to register it again. It takes two minutes tops. Almost certainly your local immigration office won’t care anyway. If you have a filed TM30 and you haven’t changed address then they probably won’t. As Brandon said each office can specify their own rules, so perhaps best to check.

it takes two minutes and the cost of a screenshot printout.
