nope , Laos subjected to 2 land crossing per year , together with rest of the list while unlimited arrival by plane. Having said that , it is almost never enforced and questions are asked only at the discretion of the immigration officer

Laos passport passing through Vientiane to Nong Khai. Not only her but many of her friends and family members also travel frequently to Thailand via same channel

I can confirm there is no issue to go through land entry for more than 2 times a year from Laos or neighbouring country as my spouse has done that numerous times (>5 time land entry) a year for short visits.

The immigration officer may ask if they sense you are doing a lot of border runs and staying prolong period without a long term visa.

actually you can transfer to Thai account directly from Wise from a linked local bank account instead of topping the wise wallet. There is no difference for the above in the duration for the other party to received from my own experience.

However how long the money is dependent on other factors like are you sending it during office hour or over the weekend etc and also the total amount. Higher value seem to take longer than less than 500 USD

The receiver must have linked their bank account to their mobile phone number first before you can search for them under promptpay.

A tip to share, especially for Agoda hotel booking. Just to TripAdvisor first , look for the hotel there and set the date window there too , there would be a link from there to jump to Agoda. In most cases , it’s cheaper than you direct book from Agoda. Go try it.

I have tried the same , it’s difficult because you do not have documents for a registered perm address or work permit and next to impossible if you do not speak Thai. Some ask you to pay five figure amount for insurance to open the bank account.
