@Kim ********
actually the bkb bank can only be accessed from one phone only, similar to a digital token concept that many banks are using. I have removed the log in account from my old iPhone before installing and trying to access from my new phone.

B a day (scanning using bkb app) at no charge. The wise transfer rates are much better than western union from my experience

I only have a thousand baht inside , for petty expenses when I am in Thailand. I really appreciate having the bank account as I transfer money regularly to Thailand and also buy from Lazada TH and use it to scan and pay all the time.

I just change to a new iPhone and I am unable to authenticate my Bangkok bank app on my new iPhone. Previously I am able to migrate myself to a new iPhone with a simple sms OTP to the new iPhone but now it says my details are not updated. I am still able to access my account from website browser though. I am worried if I go to the bank itself it will be close permanently. I got my account before 2023 on a tourist visa. In a dilemma now if I just use browser or I go to bank to try.

I open my Bangkok bank account on a tourist visa about 2 years ago in Pattaya. Have also updated my registered sim number to my account. No issue with the bank account so far.

The concerns were about not being able to have the convenience of using the bank app, not so much about the money being forfeited by the bank, unless the money is not legitimate, which is why some suspicious accounts are frozen. However it seem the account holder has to physically turn up at the bank to withdraw the money before it is closed completely. Tough luck if you are located half the globe away
