Im flying with AirAsia next month $920 return. I know that airline is average but it's a direct flight from Sydney to Bangkok and $300 cheaper than thai airways. But it mainly won me because of departure and arrival times in Sydney. Thai airways time is screwed for me living in Canberra as I have to stay in a hotel the night before leaving and the night arriving due to no transport back to Canberra. So in hindsight I'm actually saving around $600 by putting up with a shittier flight

I'd get the metv as you'll get your answer in 9 months anyway

April 23 was over 8 months ago. Seems strange being out of the country that long they did this

2kgs must be their charge point. I travelled from BKK to KL and on both journeys I was around 8.5 and there was 0 issues

Yeah they usually ask when you check in but are lenient. I travelled from Bangkok to Malaysia with about 8.4 or 8.6kgs and they had no issues
