so there is no point in going for the multi entry visa when you can just go to immigration and get a 1 year extension or am I missing something?

hey , the embassy sent an email saying they dont provide a letter. i provided a print out of the email to immigration. immigration was pretty hostile regarding the whole siutation.. in the end i got the "under consideration stamp" 2 weeks later went back and got the additional 45 days stamp

Well that was a pain in the ass. Went to Rayong immigration for the Covid extension and they insisted I go to the "family extension" area. The woman there was not keen saying COVID extension is for those who have a flight ticket and are unable to travel and that since I have family (my wife) I should be getting a family extension. In the end, I was able to get an Under Consideration Stamp (COVID - I think) for 15 days and I'll have to go back again for the additional 45 days if they give them! So, I guess I want to know if I have to pay again for the additional 45v days? Do I have to prepare any documents? She was really unpleasant and wouldn't answer questions .

Yes I'm waiting for a response. If they are not issuing it , can I still get the extension with a print out of the email?

Thanks. I'll be going to Rayong. Kinda surprised COVID insurance is not required as it was required to obtain my visa while in Canada
