Yes I did my application yesterday in koh phangan .

I was asked if I was going away anywhere during the next month . I said I had no plans to. They said if I do plan to,to let them know . So I guess you could inform them of the days that you won't be there .🙏

really ,that sounds like a much better way . I wish I had known that . I am just about to change tourist visa to non O here in Thailand .

Yes just opened account after a long time trying In Chiang Rai . Bangkok Bank no charge apart from the 400 for ATM card

Hi , after struggling for awhile I just managed to open an account.

This was the story in Chiang Rai.

I went to immigration and asked for a letter of my registration and told them I wanted to open an account for retirement visa funds

With the letter I went to Bangkok Bank and it was very straight forward from there.

So I think as long as you are registered living somewhere , which I understand is a legal requirement and done by your landlord etc that situation should work.
