ok I wish you luck. You’ll get slight differences in costs between agents and immigration officials but basically there all on the same page.

Unfortunately you have to spend either time or money or both, and can still be a frustrating experience. They are not here for our convenience or wellbeing. Nobody is going to offer a cheap service when they can make a lot more money for doing the same job in less time then they would have to expend going to immigration with you.

At least you got something for your money, it cost me Bht 4000:00 just to open an account. I’ve no idea what the charge was for.

don’t even buy it in duty free just wait until you get to the hotel, they will ask you if you want a drink. If I could of got it through customs the quarantine hotel couldn’t have cared less if I had a whole suitcase full of alcohol, they would have been more concerned about missing out on the tip for going out and getting the grog for you. As I said before nobody gives a f#*%k about Covid it’s all about the baht.

don’t worry about the quarantine bit , they went out and bought the beer for me, like everything else to do with Covid it was a farce.

Mate I don’t know how long you’ve been coming to this country but Bangla,Phuket and any other tourist destination you like to name in this country have been dying for the at least the last 10 years, way before Covid was even heard of. This is still a great country but is being ruined by poor leadership as in most countries in the would today.
