better stay closed for another year , even though most now will be vaccinated and under 40s don't die anyway ..... Correction maybe 1 in every 300 thousand. Line up in the street waiting on the free food van and sleeping in vacated bars and doorways. Take it your eating and sleeping well Ron. The deadly virus that kills 0.002 per cent will take the motorbike deaths onto insignificant figures. It's the biggest con mankind has had to swallow. Thailand needs to wake up.

I think yours will come soon. According to what I hear Hotmail and the day 1 problems may have caused delays. My friend who fly's today . G mail on day 1 got his on Friday, so it was 5 days.. don't panic yours will come. I personally think the Thailand pass system will soon work fine but it will never really be tourist friendly. If they want to get back on there feet after the vaccine is 80 per cent complete all the restrictions will have to be lifted. After all covid is here for good, as is flu , it's not the massive killing virus that they say. It kills the old and the weak but many things do . Pandemic is over, it's as good as it gets.

if u go in with a 30 day entry on arrival with 30 days covid and heath insurance... acs 1666 bt for 1 month cover. U can go through the retirement process by applying for 90 days then run that down to when u would apply for a new retirement visa. no obligation for insurance when retirement visa granted. if your spending most of your time in thailand id say its best to do it in thailand if u have the seasoned funds. u can open a sterling account if u dont want to have a baht account.

if u buy your retirement visa before entering Thailand yes. If u have the seasoned funds in Thailand no. You would enter on a tourist visa and if your staying for 3 months go through the process of getting retirement visa in Thailand. Depends what suits you.
William ********
If u get your visa inside Thailand u don't need insurance. U can then get a heath policy that suits your needs not the visas needs for entering.
