Is this right? Meanwhile, all entertainment venues like bars, nightclubs, karaoke lounges, etc. will remain closed nationally until at least January 15th, 2022. The CCSA meeting would consider the possibility of the business reopening again for January 16th,

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, all entertainment venues in Thailand, including bars and nightclubs, are set to remain closed nationally until at least January 15, 2022. The CCSA is scheduled to meet to discuss the possibility of reopening these venues on January 16, but there is speculation about the actual likelihood of this happening, with some comments expressing doubts about the reopening timeline.

Shouldn't they be meeting like on 14th or 13th January to discuss this. This is more of a Thug life as it comes🤣

I understand even if I do get covid being double vaccinated it would be mild and also make me almost immune to the 19 in the future.

Vaccination is our best bet for safety against covid for now. When will it ever be safe from covid? The virus is in the air and it does not have expiry date. It will probably outlive us. This is the new norm.

Btw, living under the rocks doesn't necessarily protect you from the virus either. 😆

If the Thai govt don't care and allow you people to party, daily cases would have rise at least 3 times... nightspot is a very high transmission place

better stay closed for another year , even though most now will be vaccinated and under 40s don't die anyway ..... Correction maybe 1 in every 300 thousand. Line up in the street waiting on the free food van and sleeping in vacated bars and doorways. Take it your eating and sleeping well Ron. The deadly virus that kills 0.002 per cent will take the motorbike deaths onto insignificant figures. It's the biggest con mankind has had to swallow. Thailand needs to wake up.

there is massive difference between going to a country bar with a few people outside and a crowded indoor disco.

I think the reason so many people fight that drinking leads to sloppy Covid measures and poor decisions is that most of those people make poor decisions even when they’re not drinking.

did they reopen after they pulled the shutters down or stay closed? I went off elsewhere when the police returned a few minutes after walking off.

, but it's not always the police. Many recent so called raids in Soi 4 have been SHA checks

Darren Grist. Stumble Inn and the bar next to it (Morning Night?) were both pumping the other night. I meant to go further down Soi 4 but I loaded up on the 99 baht pints at Stumble Inn, so by the time I was ready to recommence my sojourn, I was stumbling out!

That might be the meme. Nobody of any size is open in Pattaya for example. Some places can afford pretty big envelops but cannot open

I would've spent a lot of time being paranoid of getting arrested if I drank illicitly, especially in Pattaya where they keep doing big busts.

the police were down Sukhumvit soi 7 last night and closed the place at 9, none of those bars sell food. Seemed a bit more serious a 'raid' than usual. Last weekend the bar I was in closed at midnight, they get notice from police as to what they can and can't do so often close with 5 minute warning etc

Darren Grist. You mean the blackboard outside some of the bars - oops, I mean restaurants - that say "food available" aren't true? Or is it a different type of "food"? As we used to say in Aus "There's a steak in every pint"
