Has anyone successfully received the Thailand Pass after applying multiple times?

Who has applied to the Thailand Pass system multiple times and encountered success, shortly after a later attempt?

I have read reports of this happening from at least a couple of users. I'm wondering if this could be worth a shot, in part due to technical problems that might have affected people who applied in the first few days?

Thanks to whomever can share their experience and offer any insight.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Several individuals have shared their experiences regarding the Thailand Pass application process, highlighting that many have received confirmations and QR codes shortly after reapplying, often after initial delays or technical issues. The consensus appears that using a Gmail account improves chances of success, and that multiple submissions may lead to quicker approvals, despite concerns about causing system backups. However, the overall approval experience seems inconsistent, with many expressing that luck and persistence are key in navigating the process.

Applying multiple times just adds to the congestion.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to write comments here. My conclusion after reading through a significant number of people's experiences on this forum is that there really is no rhyme or reason as to who gets approved, when and why. I only used Gmail, as well as did some of the other main things right up front as I learned from others' experience (including QR code for vaccine cert). I received my email confirmation right away.

I'm quite confident in saying that they do not approve people's application based on the urgency of the flight. I think it frankly is a lot of luck if someone happens to see your email at the time. As for multiple applications surely it's causing a backup but clearly it's working for some people to get approved. Moreover, given there is no way to amend your app and the slow response time the alternative of waiting to get rejected if you know you need to amend your documents isn't attractive or wise, frankly.

I have a Thai Elite Visa and they ignored multiple emails that I sent, including when I cc:ed Thai Elite reps. Meanwhile, my friend (flying later than me, I fly this Friday, the 10th) emailed them around the same time yesterday and they sent his QR code right away. I emailed again twice over the course of the day. Zero response.

I called Thai Elite repeatedly and asked them to not stop calling until they got someone on the phone who could either send me my QR code or tell me what was wrong with my application. They finally sent it. I couldn't get through on the normal hotline, on my own and of course most people don't have Thai Elite reps helping them.

I wish people the best of luck. The lesson I learned: if your flight is in the near future, be persistent in following up with them. Personally, I would be pro active.

It's a highly inefficient system that could easily be replaced by having the airlines just check a few key documents when you check in for your flight, but what do we expect: it's Thailand. I wish everyone luck with their efforts and travel.

Applied last Friday. Got the qr code instantly. Feels like a very automated system to me. Used Gmail and have qr codes to proof my vaccination. Hear this also helps.

I know someone who applied 4 times and now has 4 approvals and is bringing them all with him.

I applied first time, 24 hr later acknowledged email came but no QR code for 3 days. I reapplied 2 more times and QR code came 2 hr later

Apparently they are going to cancel people’s applications who have made multiple entries as they are causing the system to back up and people are missing flights due to the time wasted processing multiple applications, and I agree with that decision

if u apply and don’t get any feedback or stupid errors, what would u do, apply again or let it be coz u r so generous and prefer that somebody else flies instead of u??????

how do you know this? Looks like hundreds of people applied multiple times … they want tourists to come and will reject hundreds to fly in and have to cancel all their flights and hotels ?

Would not surprise me if you you say occurs, but there are numerous problems with this, including the ethical one that those who succeeded getting their TP code after 2-6+ applications will get away with it, but newcomers will be punished.

After trying and getting rejected once for not uploading hotel booking, which I did of course, I tried with a gmail email and applied through Google Chrome. I got the QR Code within 24 hours.

One problem is people sending insurance papers that does not clearly state min $50,000 usd coverage or the Thai equivalent.

I have heard the main reason people aren’t getting their passes in a timely manner is because so many are applying multiple times.

Who knows? Maybe, though I'm skeptical. Anecdotally, my friend applied twice and followed up on his application two days later and received immediate confirmation. I did the same thing for days and heard nothing. After hearing his story I followed up twice that day and I couldn't get a response until a Thai Elite rep followed up many times (actually calling them).

Based on what I'm hearing my conclusion is that the approval process is highly random. I think these other points, like multiple applications, are legitimate criticisms that Thai officials want to make potential applicants aware of, but the reality to how the approval process is actually unfolding is far less rational or coherent. Given people have no chance to amend their application once submitted and the slow response time for many applicants, people aren't left with other options when they have a flight that's several days away.

What should we expect? T.I.T.

Could be? Who knows. If we can believe any of the accounts offered in this group though, it seems that many people who applied multiple times received confirmation, often immediately. I personally know someone who applied twice and had no issue. Anyways, it's a moot point for me now, and I wish everyone else luck.

Adrian Baker Someone contacted the consulate and this was the reason given. It makes sense.

Only Gmail emails are accepted or approved that's the reason

it days don't apply on Hotmail.

I did exactly the same thing on the same dates, only I have not yet received the pass. Did you have a QR code to crop for your vaccination certificate. Also can you tell me the date of your flight? I'm wondering if this is a factor
Sebastian ******
Thanks, I hope so. It's the not knowing that's getting to me. I would rather get rejected early than hear nothing until the last moment. Enjoy your time in Thailand

I think yours will come soon. According to what I hear Hotmail and the day 1 problems may have caused delays. My friend who fly's today . G mail on day 1 got his on Friday, so it was 5 days.. don't panic yours will come. I personally think the Thailand pass system will soon work fine but it will never really be tourist friendly. If they want to get back on there feet after the vaccine is 80 per cent complete all the restrictions will have to be lifted. After all covid is here for good, as is flu , it's not the massive killing virus that they say. It kills the old and the weak but many things do . Pandemic is over, it's as good as it gets.
