I'm getting my paperwork together for my extension for the year coming.... Marriage visa. Last year was my first and my children had to attend when my application was put in. Will this apply again when I go to put paperwork in this time. I only ask as I will have to arrange day off school. Jomtien immigration is my immigration office.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a marriage visa extension in Thailand, it is generally not necessary to bring children for the application. Each extension is treated as a new application, and while initially, children may have been required, many users report that once you have had your first extension, you typically do not need to include your children anymore. Instead, you should provide their birth certificates and several photos of you and your family at home. It's advisable to check the specific requirements at your immigration office each year.

We have never been asked about our children in all the years of doing my extensions based on marriage, and probably just as well as they are 33 and 25 years old and both live in Australia. Children don’t matter when it comes to extensions of your Non O visa based on marriage

You don't need to bring in children for a marriage visa extension. You don't even need to mention them. Maybe they need to be present for an extension based on raising a Thai child but not sure.

After the first extension, they tell you not to bother bringing your children in, just show their birth certificates and of course at least 6 photos of you and all the kids, wife in front of the property and inside the house

When it comes to extensions, every year is the first year. Each extension is a brand new application. Your immigration office's requirements may change from year to year, but they will never leave anything off because you did it last year. Last year's application doesn't exist when it comes to these things. For something as complicated as marriage you should really go in beforehand and get the list of requirements each year, then gather everything and return to do the actual application.

good advice. It's a bit retarded but that's the system. They never seem to want to make it easier for Married couples here unfortunately!
