this is not correct because this happened to me and they were able to fix it at the immigration office knowing that it was the error of the person who stamped me in. Maybe there are some offices that are reluctant to do it but you can definitely get it done in Bangkok.

Civil cases are not criminal. If I sign a contract and violate it I've violated the contract NOT the law. Adding things in a contract that are illegal are simply discarded once in court because they are illegal or unreasonable requests.
