In Penang I was rejected (a few.months ago) because the money was in a broker account not in a "normal" bank.

sorry my English maybe is not good enough in (I am not English 😂) , I meant if the DTV is for 6 months, and after that you can extend it another 6 months, how is it possible you need to extend it already if you got it in July? You should do it after 6 months right? Maybe there is something I did not understand.

180 already?. What month did you get it ? 🤔

The common rule, as I said before , is pay taxes where you live more than 180+ days a tax year, but THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS, I am not an accountant, and I do not know all the exceptions, I just tell my personal experience working as a permanent in the UK, and paying my taxes in Thailand, that's it 😎

Forget agents, go to Kbank (this is where I opened my bank account with a student visa) and explain them you will stay in Thailand for one year and you need to transfer money from your job to the country, DTV is quite new and in Thailand the information is "propagated" very slow , possible the bank officer you asked don't know yet about this visa.

I know what I am saying, I paid already in Thailand my taxes for the last two years, and my job was in the UK, I did following international rules and under HMRC instructions.
