Guys I am reading the requirements for HCM [members only], and I have a few doubts.

2.2. Photograph taken within the last six months

What kind of photo, same than the photo for the passport? same size?

2.3. Document indicating current location

This is the hotel booking in HCM, for example?

2.4 Document stating purpose of visit:

Is there any template to have a look?

3) in case there is no employment, professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status.

Should my portfolio showcase my entire career, like a resume, or focus only on my work from 2024?

Should my portfolio showcase my entire career, like a resume, or focus only on my work from 2024? I'm asking because, in 2023, I worked as an employee, and this is my first year as a freelancer.

Thanks

Visa photos typically should not be the same as passport - take a selfie with a white background.

Supply resume, partner was asked to supply resume even after supplying a remote work contract.

We had a return ticket, as we flew from Thai to Vietnam and Thai side requested to see a flight ticket out of Vietnam at chek in. Was not supplied for the visa.

Visa was approved in 4.5 days excluding the weekend, and booked the return for 10 days.

Supply as much as possible to reduce the chance of them asking for more documents.

Return ticket? What do you mean? I will apply in HCM and I don't have return tickets since I have no idea when I will be able to return to Thailand 😆? Should I buy a return ticket?

apologies, wrote that wrong, have edited. We were asked to show a ticket out of Vietnam at the Thailand side before flying Thai to Viet. We flew to Phu Quoc which doesn't need a Vietnam visa, this could also be why.

Don't need a contract between my LLC and me ? 🤔 Is ridiculous but who knows? 😂

give paper registration of the LLC, and a paper from you as director/manager of it, confirming that you can work remotely from Thailand is good.

Articles of organization?

a official document stating the the LLC exist and is register in the country. When you have create your LLC, you probably have a official document proving the registry of it ? ( and showing that you are director/administrator ? )

I followed the requirements on the HCM website, and I have included in the same PDF the "purpose of visiting Thailand", "portfolio", "I gave myself permission to work remotely 😂", "Statement of the organizer" where they can see my name etc... and just in case, the EIN letter, I am a little worry because I am Spanish and I have two surnames and a middle name, but the US did not add my middle name to these documents, could be an issue 🤔?

What about the flight tickets? Do I need to book a return ticket, or can it just be one-way? I’m unsure when the visa will be approved and when I’ll be able to return to Thailand. 🙂 (I go HCM)

and if it is you your first year as freelancer, it is always good to give a resume of your past work experience. ( the more you give, the better it is ? maybe don't include if you go to jail or something like that 😅 )

For photo I did selfie photo just with phone against a white wall and it was accepted

Passport size photo, entry stamp/visa and hotel booking in Vietnam, cover letter stating what you do, they aren't looking for life history, just show what you've done or do, and some examples to impress them that you're not some fly by nighter.
