I am a thai and once I randomly said to immigration 'what if someone wanna keep my ex passport'

Immigration said 'if they are not responsible officer that work under govt. They have no right to keep. And inform me if anybody gonna keep his passport. It's not right'

fine the 'thai' house owner per one foreigner. It's different than foreigner not having TM 30 ka. House owner must follow the law of reporting stay of foreigner ka :) Most house owner has no knowledge in this.

House owner require to report of foreigner stay as per law ka. (I have seen many house owners got arrested just by not reporting but the news are mostly in thai)

You do not need hotel. Just location of house where you gonna stay is okay. Don't forget to report tm.30 form once you arrive there
