it's perfectly legal. When you apply on a 30 day immigration issue a processing stamp while your application is being considered. You don't need 30 days left but you do need to do ASAP. And you don't need an agent

I was told my immigration two days ago they do not issue within the country a Non O unless your on a 30 day exempt. I have been here 7 years and been told I have to leave on 31st July to get the 30 day. An impossible situation. OA can only be done in your home country

Can you work with a Thai Elite Visa?

Thailand Elite have a service to convert to a non B. They charge around 2000 bht to do it and you still have the privileges maintained of TE but not the PE visa itself.

Thailand Elite help you with the process to convert to a B visa. You cannot work on the Elite alone.

This whole Covid insurance thing is a scam. I have had Thai medical insurance for 5 years and never used it and they now say I am not covered but if I get flu which is just as likely to kill me I am.
