Would anyone be able to advise on international health insurance? I’m 50 and in the UK, trying to get health insurance and am getting quotes of around £200/month. It feels very expensive, is it cheaper to get health insurance from providers once in Thailand? Or is this just what I need to expect at my age :(

I am in Thailand presently and I have a STV Visa; but, I am unable to extend it by 90 days. The Government of Thailand and the Immigration has made a new rule which states that with STV Visa one has to purchase the Covid 19 related Insurance. However, all the Insurance companies now only give Insurance for 30 days only and not for 90 days! The insurance companies are willing to give 1 year insurance which costs from 35 to 80 thousand Baht. Which I find too expensive to purchase for 90 days stay in Thailand. Please advice what I should do? If I purchase 30 day insurance I have to leave Thailand in 30 days and cannot extend my Visa further.

Hi all, looking for some advice. Is there anywhere to buy insurance that meets the requirements for Covid 19 and travel insurance while currently in Thailand? My wife and I are in Thailand on an STV visa, we had a policy with AXA, but through a series of miscommunications with the company we were not able to extend our coverage to before the policy expired. We are past our visa date but need insurance to get our visa extension. Any help is appreciated.

Hi - looking for some advice on the COVID/general health insurance.

I need cover for a full 12 months as per the working contract i'll be undertaking. I am coming from the UK, which AXA advised me is a high-risk area during the quotation i got with them.

I have read so much on this group about insurance and finding it hard to whittle down advice.

i am specifically looking for advice from people on working visas and their experience.

obviously I will be doing the ASQ upon arrival so want to be covered incase of positive test and asymptomatic - I know AXA does this and have had a quote from them just wondering if there is any others that fall in this bracket?
