my smart visa is already approved.

My master degree still has 2 years left hence my education has not stop and i have I have all documents to extend my Ed visa again as i was not sure if the Smart visa would be approved (got the green light yesterdays). Just trying to my sure i don't mess up the transition.

So if i understandable correctly I go to chanwatana with the relevant paper work to cancel my Ed extension of stay then get 7 days to "leave the country" and with in those 7 days I'll scadual my appointment at the smart visa office to receive my new visa

On the last part of changing the extension of stay i am located in bangkok.

Is it really this arbitrary or is it mainly effected by each immigration office having there own set of requirements.
