Hello members i am very confused afther visting chanwattna for a family member.
She was on a non o mulple entry visa (for retirement) this has since expired (both the actual visa sticker and the stamp) putting her on amnesty.
When we went to ask the options and rules at chanwattna they told us just have 800k in the bank for 2 months and you can extend for one year similar to when you have a 3 month single entry retirement visa
So we transferred 800k to a thai bank in her name but this money would only have been on her bank account for 58 days on Sept 26.
When asking about this what we could do or if we where just stuck they said you can just pay 2 days over stay and extend on 28 sept
Called the call center they said the same thing.
They also sad dont worry about insurance. We have insurance but in her home country that is valid here
But when i read the announcements it seems clear that all paper work has to be submitted before 26 Sept.
Could anyone clarify if we could extend on 28 Sept with just a small over stay fine or if we need to start looking at an other solution.
And if anyone has some advice please do share
TLDR : Answer Summary
A member is seeking clarification on whether a family member can extend their Non-O multiple entry visa after it has expired and they are currently on amnesty. They have transferred 800,000 Baht to the family member's Thai bank account, which will only be there for 58 days by the time of the extension application. They were advised they can pay a small overstay fine and apply for the extension, but are unsure if this is accurate due to confusion over the requirement for the funds to be in the account for 2 months.
