. .and there also is the 90-days single entry Non-Imm-O visa for those over 50 or retired. It requires a financial proof and can be extended to a 1-year permit of stay inside Thailand, if one can meet the financial requirements (either 800,000 THB on a bank account in you sole name or proof of 12 months of consecutive transfers of a minimum of 65,000 THB to your Thai bank account). Upon entering you should open up a Thai bank account and transfer the 800,000 THB as soon as possible, because when applying for the 1-year permit of stay, the money needs to be seasoned for 2 months. As you are given 90 days admitted stay when entering, the timeline is doable
if she is born to a Thai mother, she is automatically a Thai citizen and can apply for a Thai passport at the embassy in your country. She will need her birth certificate, her mothers ID and some other documents. Only the Thai embassy will be able to tell you how to proceed
yeah, "you only have to read" . . . . .In this thread, I already have detected & read TWO false informations ! That's why we shouldn't hesitate to explain it over and over again
the 800,000 THB need to have seasoned for TWO months, not for 90 days. . . .3 months used to be the OLD requirement, and was discontinued in 2019 . . . . . .now it is "for 2 months prior to application and for 3 months after having been issued the extension"
if he does the application with the deposit method, he doesn't have to show 12 months of bank statements. For the deposit method the "bank letter of guarantee" must only show the balance of the previous TWO months
it would be interesting to know from you if the Immigration officer last year insisted you to have a one-year Covid19 health insurance for the marriage extension, or if you got one for yourself without any pressure from Immigration . . . . As far as we all know, there is no requirement for this.
would he still have the option for the 60-days "family visit" extension, or did he use it up as well, yet? That would give him time to find a solution 400,000 THB banking wise
you cannot get a new visa or enter visa exempt, while there is a valid visa in your passport. You HAVE TO USE your O/A visa. The Thai embassy does not cancel a valid visa. Your only option is wait until October 6th and let it expire. After this date you can enter visa exempt, apply for a Non-Imm-O or a Tourist Visa
