Why are comments disappearing after threads are closed by the administrator?

a kind plea to the administrator: He has the absolute right to close a thread for further commenting.  However the comments which already got posted from others, shouldn't they remain legible? Because I would love to still be able to read all comments. With some threads, the comments are GONE after the administrator closed the thread! This does not occur to all threads, but to some. I am not sure why.  I guess it can be changed in the settings (thread closed but all comments still there)

thank you, I answered my own question already 😊 It is an FB-Timeline (Messageboard) issue. When I read the "Thai visa Advice" on its own page, everything is still there

Sometimes threads do go but it's mostly then the OP deleting the thread to be fair.

This issue of comments disappearing after admin closed thread has come up before. It seems to depend on the version / platform your using as some people (me included) can view closed threads and all the following comments.

maybe this only happens when I read the "Thai visa advice" on my messageboard (the "Timeline"!) When I go to the group and "Discussion", all posts are still there, also the ones in the closed threads. I Guess this answers my own question. It seems to be a FB issue
