I currently own a share of a business while living and working in the marketing field in Thailand with a non-immigrant B visa and work permit till May 25. I want to relinquish my share of the company, stop my current visa, re-enter on a DTV, and then go full-time remote online marketing for clients back in the UK.

I have a portfolio of work and the 500k in funds available, but the only thing I worry about is my previous month's bank statements, as not much has been happening in my English accounts, and most of my money has been via cash in Thailand. for example, my 500k would be easiest shown if I could place the cash into my current Thai bank account and show it this way. Has anybody had any experience with similar?

Any help will be appreciated.

Dear community 🙏

Is there someone who has applied for a dtv after the ed-visa has expired? Is there a possibility to apply for an dtv-visa (and get approved) if I was on a one year ed-visa?

My ed- visa will expire in January next year and I am wondering if I can apply for dtv-visa after the ed-visa has expired.

Any help is appreciated 🙏❣️

Hello,

I am currently on an METV visa that ends mid January and I would like to switch to a DTV and I have some questions to which I couldn’t find specific answers (sorry If I overlooked existing answers)

1- I was thinking of trying to get a DTV visa before my METV visa ends - does this impact the acceptance of the visa?

2- can I go to a neighboring country make the application and come back to Bkk with my METV visa before getting the DTV? Or I need to stay there and wait to get it?

3- for the 500k baht, should I get proof of having them in my current account or does it work if it’s in the savings part of the account?

4- do you know by chance, if I am on a DTV visa and at some point I want to do a volunteering work here, do I need to cancel the dtv and get the specific visa for volunteering ? Or can I can accumulate or sort of have a specific authorization to just do a non paid volunteering for a short period without invalidating the dtv?

Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Hello, anyone holding Thai work permit before and change to DTV successfully? Work permit is too expensive and DTV is way cheaper.

Thank you

Has anyone successfully switched from a Smart Visa to a DTV? If so, do you need to cancel the Smart-S visa before applying for the DTV outside of Thailand?

Also, if I apply for the DTV visa, does it mean the Thai company required for the Smart-S visa must be closed as well? My main concern is whether I can cancel the Smart Visa and close the company only *after* securing the DTV approval.

Thank you so much for your help and advice! 🙏

Hello everyone, I have a thai bank account that I opened while staying with ED visa. I want to know if it'll be closed when I apply for DTV visa. Anyone Same Condition?

Apologies for this unusual request - I hope I have got my facts right. The financial requirements for a retirement visa (800,000 baht) are double that for a marriage visa (400,000 baht). If a guy's wife died he would have to revert to a retirement visa. This might entail complicated financial adjustments. Is there any grace period for these to be made?

Has anyone transitioned from an ED visa to the DTV? (Yes I am aware you would need to cancel the ED visa before applying for a new visa) Also wondering if the DTV can be used for University courses, since is seems generally better than an ED.
