- Tod - I admire you as a friend and for your expertise in the Thai Visa arena... But you are Way too Cavalier about this situation.. As of today there are three (3) weeks left until July 31. In all seriousness your advice to sit back and take it easy is a Non Starter. If those who needed an answer in the weeks leading up to the near forced Amnesty we have now had followed your type of advice - likely nothing would have been done - except dump us on the border. Now with this Amnesty we do not have widely published photos of Immigration queues 300 deep all across Thailand to embarrass Thai Immigration into doing the right thing. This announcement today by a Thai Immigration Spokesman (as low ranking as he is) is very unsettling. Without public embarrassment causing Thai Immigration to Do Something - likely nothing will be done - except the clock running out. There is nothing going on in the news media now to push and shove Thai Immigration and the Thai Legislature (who ever they are) to do anything positive to resolve - yet again another looming crisis.

We need relief. As I said in another thread. Anyone Not Affected by this series of ineffectual screwups has no idea of the anxiety caused by recalcitrant jackasses in Thai Immigration. We cannot sit by and abide by useless comments.

Michael Dawson - I am well aware of that fact. I understand it I said that they have not announced opening for August 1 opening on August 31 does not help if we have to leave on July 31
