I'm British and don't need a tourist visa. I enter visa exempt for 60 days and extend by 30 days to visit friends and family.

Yes. I do. We do them for people in my property. Perhaps if you explain what exactly you're trying to do: are you applying for a tourist visa and need an invitation letter. If so why you are booked into a hotel in Thailand to get a TM 30 if you aren't in the country. Your posts are just muddled and unclear. Which means people are "guessing" to try and answer you.
