you go up to immigration with a house/condo lease contract. It should be free if have it mailed to you. It’s how to get a Thai driver license on a tourist visa as well.

Get a residency certificate on a tourist visa and not that difficult to open a bank account with Bangkok bank.

This also depends on where your passport is from? What do you look like? How are you dressed? Do you appear to have money? When they ask what you do for a living what is your answer? In case taken to a secondary room do you have 20,000 baht on you? A return flight?

If it looks like they have not showered in a week with holes in their shirt. They say they don’t have a job and just visiting for the 3rd time this year they may be denied entry.

Now if a well dressed person, well spoken, and nice clothes tries to enter Thailand for the 5th time this year they may not be questioned. Even if they are questioned what they do for a living and they say something like retired with a high pension that helps.

So it all just depends. Tell the truth as any lie will hurt.

i did not know this. Honestly prefer to leave Thailand often so a multi entry visa sounds better and removes the 400k requirement? Crazy how I missed this.

yes I left after 90 days Non-O and used 400k to be approved. Unfortunately I don’t think I will have 400k saved up again until end of the year so was hoping to switch to bank statements. Thank you for the information.
