There's loads of videos on you tube if you simply search "Paying Tax in Thailand" becomes in play January 1 2025.No need for panic although there is an existing law it may well be "reviewed" due to backlash from Expats and unsurprisingly many Thais who benefit from our existence, paying rent etc.Take note of available deductibles,Age,married to a Thai, quite a list

Always been the same in my 22 years here Immigration offices throughout the country act independently. It was one of the resorts owners who told me about the crackdown.Same with banks and opening an account, must be very confusing for recent arrivals.

3 times staying in Hua Hin over the last year Resorts insisted on my passport.Apparently they had visits from Immigration informing this was now compulsory in HH.Of course it varies to where you stay.

No fee but its a long time standard procedure for staff to be "encouraged" to sell product and that fact is from my long time Manager.

True but it does go on.My bank guy,I've known for 15 years, when I asked him about people having a problem opening an account and using an agent his remark was "Money talks" he never said it didn't happen.Nothing surprises me over the 20 years I've been here.I would suggest the agent "accompanies" the person wanting an account, similar to people using agents getting visas at Immigration

So you are in your 30's, for example, with a work permit and you need an agent to open a bank account, that's taking corruption to a new level.

Doubt any of the major banks Bangkok,Kasikorn,SCB etc are going to go belly up.Someone warned me about that 22 years ago 😂

You're wrong about me again on all counts.Do you always make assumptions about people you've never met and make cheap, derogatory comments ? 5 years teaching English at a private school when I first arrived in Bangkok with my students, mostly mature aged girls 21-40, fast tracked me through the cultural differences between their life style and ambitions. Many of them keep in touch and even come to see & thank me for helping them achieve their goals. My wife is a retired accountant from a large rural family I have many Thai friends, male and female.Your accusation that I don't know what their talking about is just ridiculous.Sin sods,if appropriate, are a private matter between those it's affects.Your speculation is irrelevant, try to stay civil and learn from others who have experiences that you have never had.

Moderating must be a nightmare on these FB groups 😢

You are the one that made the point about virginity. If you think a Thai girl discusses her sex life with her parents you are truly delusional.I clearly do know more than you and have been happily married to my lovely Thai wife for 19 years which I would suggest has given me a clear insight into Thai culture.Have no idea why you wish to continue this pointless discussion you're just going around in circles and digging a bigger hole for yourself.
