non stop from Seattle to bkk? what airline? no airline flies non-stop from US to bkk or anywhere in Thailand. lots of flights with stops, and from short to long layovers, or at least, pre-covid this was the case.

many tears ago, thai airlines flew non stops from LA and JFK to bkk -- lost a gon of money flying gas guzzlers Airbus 340-500's I think-- stopped the flights for a while, tried to sell the planes, no one wanted them, so for a while they flew again the LA-BKK non- stop flight. flight, but soon stopped it.

I flew it many times back and forth to see friends in the US. I flew business class and hardly worth it, no lie flat seats, but non- stop was nice.

have they been vaccinating thousands of locals daily in advance of Juky 1-- this was a key piece of the " open Phuket plan"? done to protect the local population that would be working with the incoming tourists-- if I recall correctly, they had set an approx goal of vaccinating 70% of local population prior to July 1. Has that vaccination effort been ongoing?

additionally, I might offer, unless urgent, is it wise to being such elderly individuals here-- I had wanted to bring my parents, years ago- pre-covid, in their late 70's, but they both had medical issues that required regular treatment, dr/ hospital visits, medications, etc, nothing covered here by US Medicare, and no local insurance here on offer to them. so, it was best they not travel here. however, ur parents may have other circumstances that allow it, but it's risky.

a key part of the Phuket plan was to vaccinate 70%, or something like that, of the local thai population, prior to opening-- up, meaning administering 14,000 vaccinations a day thru June, ug have been unable to confirm that this was being done.
