Has anyone here ever had to apply for a Thai police clearance in order to obtain a visa for another country? I lived in Thailand for over 12 months so need a police clearance to apply for a certain Australian visa, however I lived there over two years ago and the application forms ask for things like current Thai work visa, resident Thai address etc, things which I now do not have. Would greatly appreciate any advice or experiences of other people who have been through the process.

O A non immigrant Long Stay Visa based on retirement.

Australia Passport.

Does anyone know if a Police Clearance from Thailand will be accepted in Canberra Thai Consulate instead of A Police Clearance issued in OZ.?

I've been here since 4 Sept 2017 and have not been home since.

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I am South African and there have been many new rules regarding south africans regarding non-b visas. We now need both a south african police clearance and a thai polive clearance. I have been here for several years, so for me to renew my non-b, I only need the thai police clearance. My problem is that I had an accident four years ago where a friend of mine died. there was no alcohol involved, however I got charged with dangerous driving. I also had a DUI six years ago. Apparently there is no possibility of getting it expunged. I have also learnt that it is a title 5 offence, a misdemeanour if you will. So my question is, will this hinder me in getting my visa renewed?

ATTENTION MEMBERS:

From now on the thai consulate in Kota Bharu ONLY accepts the Thai Police Clearance for Non-B visas for teachers. They will no longer accept a police clearance from your country.

Thanx go to Joseph Michael Pedro III for the information update. (y)

Hi guys. If someone is getting a NonB visa to get a work permit for a job that is NOT teaching, do they still require a Thai police clearance? I've been told its not needed but would like to know if anyone knows otherwise. Thanks in advance.
