I know in the US years ago, they burned the stubble because it was the cheapest way to clean the fields and get ready for the next crop. is that the reason here?

I agree--many times some posters/commenters make the old assumption/stereotype that if one has enough cash they can get any government agency to do whatever they want. If true at one time years ago, definitely not the norm now. Again, I've lived Thailand more than 20 years and know how things were and how they are now. If one wants to take a handful of cash and start suggesting illegal activities, ur likely to end up in jail.

a few years in chiang mai I had to produce it. but, for my very last extension, not a mention of it-- we all know how fleeting these things can be, and too often the more one challenges or gets angry, it has potential to get words-- never know if an individual or an office comes up with the stuff. my extension is one thing I wont hassle over-- too important.

some immigration offices periodically ask for proof that the 65,000+ actually is a form of pension income-- I had to provide a document verifying that for one extension and then the next year, no mention of it. but, that is the way things go here, be prepared-- a new agent, supervisor, etc may put in new requirements not previously enforced at any given office at any given time, and then, just as quickly certain requirements are no longer required. TIT.

I understand that the SS admin readily has such documentation available for those that receive retirement income from them as do most other US govt agencies-- for private companies and other countries, not sure how easy to get. But, in my last extension it was not even mentioned, while the previous year's extension, such documentation was a "must-have".

yep, Tod is absolutely correct. Not possible to get a 60 day extension from a Visa exempt 30 day entry. As has been asked, show just one of the many you claimed to have been given. That will help clear it all up, or---oops, you're mistaken.

it's very explicit, and must be on the very first part of a trip etc, otherwise, emergency or not, Medicare provides zero coverage or reimbursement-- if traveling, the expectation is that I will buy travel insurance.

btw, now that private hospitals have finally been allowed to order vaccines, some are doing just that. several in cm have announced orders for moderna, and will take registrations-- eont be long before the larger hospitals- here, bkk, etc, will be offering vaccines.

makes a lot sense-- understand now your thinking about returning for a vaccination.

the majority I believe so, but still Pfizer and others have greater effectiveness for variants.
