You don’t need a visa. Visa exempt is still working for Americans. COE took 2 days for me 2 months ago. Definitely do the Phuket sandbox unless you prefer prison. I don’t see why you couldn’t fly within a week. Just book sandbox hotel then apply for COE online.
Find a part time Thai language education program for them. Then teach the rest at home. Or elite visa. Or start a Thai company that employs them but that’s the most costly.
