Doubt it will be any issue at all, I'd imagine a lot of people who apply for a Thai visa visit other countries before they come here

yeah its definitely the best and easiest way to get money to Thailand I've been using it since 2016, the fees are the cheapest and payments take seconds

You could just ring your bank and ask them to raise your limit for 24 hours, they should be able to do it or ask if the place you're using can take a card payment, you could even get their bank account details, set up a wise account and make a payment to them through the app, this would actually be the cheapest way to do it as you just get changed a really low fee so you won't have to pay the 220thb ATM fee and your banks conversion and overseas transaction fee

most likely a non B, education or volunteer visa, obviously the visa is only 1900 but all the paperwork that goes with it and fees is what the rest is made up of, company set up etc

ah for retirement yeah I see, that would make it a bit of a problem, I'm on marriage visa so only need to show 400k and doesn't matter where it comes from

@Alexander *******
yeah but you can make as many as you like, just a bit annoying when it comes around the visa renewal time having to do 10 transfers lol

I don't smoke anymore but when I did I've never seen B&H here, malboro is about the only recognisable premium brand name and are something like 200thb or they were a few years ago when I last noticed, you can get the Thai brands which are cheap as chips, L&M are about 70thb to 80thb, I uswd to smoke iscore 5 or 7 which i think are 70thb now as well, best to stock up on bensons before you come or in duty free if they have them if thsts what you want to smoke as ive never seem them In the 9 years ive beem here

@Mitchell ******
definitely I've been here 10 years almost and if I wasn't registered at my uncles address I'd have had some serious issues in getting stuff sorted out that I've needed over the years

oh for sure they do, it's weird as some things are done exceptionally with modern teach but yet they still have bank books that have to go through some kind of franking machine, that's like 70s and 80s so old school and yet their online banking is very good but the paperwork for everything is a joke and completely unnecessary
