Found it from another post on here by the originator..." short term educational course" that was on the original schedule, and based on that, that's how I got the DTV
The wording has changed now compared to back in July when it was first announced. I can't find my original copy unfortunately, but it definitely had reference to education or something that related to learning the language...otherwise I wouldn't have applied that way...
probably referring to my post. I say, yet again...and I have actually been called a liar on this forum, that I successfully obtained my DTV from the Thai embassy in London, and within around 10 days based on enrolling on a Thai language course in Bangkok.
I now await all the comments from the experts, and the know all to shoot it down yet again....of course, this may not be the case anymore...but I know of one other person who after contacting me, also was successful via language course from London.
well, just to satisfy you I did try to upload a copy of my DTV to this site....but it appears your admin have blocked it ! It went to them for approval yesterday....but still not up on the site. So, looks like you will have to think what you like...
suit yourself mate....I am not in the habit of lying. I will repeat yet again for all you doubters out there...I applied for a DTV at the Thai embassy in London based on learning the Thai language at a language school in Bangkok. Repeat again...DTV...not ED. It was approved within around 7 days, and that's after submitting further details they requested. I have been in Thailand since 16th October, stamped in for 6 months. Showed immigration the DTV visa, sailed through no problem. I have completed one month of Thai language, second month coming up, although there are no requirements from anyone, at the moment anyway, to prove I have done course at all.
And go check out the school...they are very good.
