Previously, Thai residents paid tax on foreign-source income only if the income was brought to Thailand in the same calendar year. Instruction No. P

effectively eliminates this loophole. Now, any income earned overseas from employment, business, or property, regardless of when it enters Thailand, must be declared, and taxed in the year the income is earned.

I read in fb groups this is not anymore possible since 1.1.2024.

Any comments about that?

Depending on the location ( in Bangkok I paid 3k), the weather, the room dimension, the aircon type and the set temperature.

The size of the aircon (1.5 or 2 HP), inverter or not, where is it installed.

If you set 26°C you need much less power than at 22°C.

In cold seasons or daytimes or locations the power usage is very different.

So I think between 1.5 and 3k power bill a month you should expect.

Yes, exactly. There are things in Thailand that I don't like. But the problem mentioned by the OP would never have occurred to me. Every country has its own peculiarities that are not what you would like. Then you have to decide whether to travel to the country because of that or just leave it.

Beginning 1 January 2024 all foreign citizens travelling to Malaysia are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) three (3) days prior to arrival (except MM2H holders).

Sorry free spirit.

"As it is the modern times of 2024". Definitely not.

Look at the US election campaign 🤣.

I don't understand what you complained about.

In which country do you not have to do this?

The bank employee may have been annoyed and did not read the documents properly.

I suspect that the banks in Bangkok recently issued an internal directive not to open bank accounts on the basis of a tourist visa.

Since dozens of tourists still come every day and want to open a bank account with a tourist visa, the bank employees are getting increasingly annoyed.

The fact that so many people still want to open a bank account in Bangkok with a tourist visa is also because in Facebook groups like this one, many people still claim that it is easy to open a bank account in Bangkok with a tourist visa.
