TLDR : Answer Summary
For the Non-Immigrant OA visa extension, it is not required that the 800,000 THB in the bank be transferred from an account abroad; cash brought into Thailand in installments can suffice. This requirement only applies when converting to a Non-O visa within Thailand.

It's only when applying to convert to a non-O visa inside of Thailand that you need to show it was an international transfer. For extensions that is not a requirement.
no, 800k for an extension doesn't need to be international. It's only monthly transfers if using that method that needs to be international for extensions.
