yes. Convert tourist visa to non-o and apply for a 1-year extension based on retirement if you are 50+.

Don't have to leave Thailand.

But if you don't use a visa agent, maybe 60 days is not enough and you must extend the tourist visa 30 days.

Can I chime in here with an additional question?

Who will fine me if I don't make TM30 after I re-entry?

The immigration at the airport?

The immigration at the old address?

Or the immigration at the new address (maybe in another province)?

When will I be fined?

When I visit the immigration for any reason or only when I do the 90-day notification?

Thank you.

Maybe he is on a tourist visa because he wants to apply for non-o / retirement extension. šŸ¤”

Yes. There are also expats who live in Thailand permanently and not just when the weather is pleasant for Farangs.

And when you stay permanently in Thailand a Thai bank account makes your life easier.

This counts also for other countries.

Yes. Very easy.

I did it some months ago.

2x 130 Baht bus ticket, 2x 100 Baht for Grab to Ekkamai and back. And to 2x 100 Baht from Pattaya bus terminal to visa agent and back.

From Ekkamai there are big comfortable busses. Bus about 3h.

I use a cheap Vivo dual sim phone as a hotspot for me and my gf.

Abroad I buy a sim card from the countries and put the cards in the Vivo.

In hotels I switch off the hotspot on the Vivo, the other phones will automatically switch to the hotel wifi.

5G pocket wifi devices are expensive.

4G LTE is payable.

In my opinion 4G is sufficient in most cases.

If you have a phone with a good battery you can use your phone as a mobile hotspot.

I use 1 physical card for ATMs and 3 virtual cards for online payments.

But I just realized that my Wise card doesn't work at some ATMs in Vietnam.

I used my Bkk Bank card instead.

So far I didn't have such problems with my Wise card in Thailand
