It's very easy to bring it. But later it will be very difficult to take it out as Thailand is considered a country with rabies. You will need to send the rabies test to a lab outside Thailand and wait around 6 months after the results.

Benjamin Michael with e visa, is true that if you fill your personal information incorrectly they won’t return the deposit.

But for additional documents they will let you send it afterwards.

Anyways paying someone 50K baht to make sure that you don’t put your name wrong on the form seems a bit excessive.

that’s why you should try different branches, each branch has different policies. If you are in Chiang Mai I can let you know one that will open the account for you.
