You would have signed and been given a copy of Immigration Form STM-2.

Detailing the conditions of overstay, change in circumstances, cancellation of visa etc.

If I understand correctly your "second" passport in this scenario would supersede the first?

As to get a second passport from the same issuing country you would have to declare, a loss, destruction, theft, official name or gender change?

But as SC says Thai IO have all your visa, entry / exit, photo and biometrics records.

"Paperwork needed"....maybe some THB bills to "pay" for the stamp transfer?

Another TM-8 for re-entry permit if required and some more THB for the stamp.

For clarity you have submitted a TM-30 in Phuket but you are actually living in another rented accommodation in BKK?

The law states the "landlord" of the rental property in BKK should have filed a TM30.

But that doesn't stop the onus on you either.

In order to get an extension you will have to have an updated verifiable TM-30.

This would not be possible in BKK for the reason stated.

But as you are going back to Phuket you should be able to apply for an extension there.

It's not a good idea not complying with the IO rules.

It will catch up on you, or it will have consequences for those that live here more permanently if the rules are continuously flouted.
