TLDR : Answer Summary
To transfer your existing visa and stamps from an old UK passport to a new one at Jomtien Immigration, you will need to provide the following paperwork: your old passport, new passport, a letter from the British embassy, and possibly a change passport form obtained at the office. While some users indicated that copies of passports and stamps might not be required depending on the immigration office, others suggested it could vary, with some offices being stricter than others. It's also advisable to bring some cash for any fees that might be charged for services or copies.
You we’re scammed. Transferring stamps should be free. Perhaps they make that charge for doing all the copies you need for you. Not sure which is better. 20 baht to do copies yourself or 500 baht for them to do it for you.
OP asked what paperwork they needed to get stamps transferred from one passport to another. Sort of a bit of a given that you’d need the passports to be able to do that.
the old passport is now invalid and I'm looking to travel to Vietnam soon so not sure if I would have a problem with retirement visa being in an old passport
be carefull, i also thought i could use old passport with visa, it is the case for some countries, but in Thailand visa must be transfered to the new passport
