IF meet criteria Hua Hin immigration are very helpful. I do my Non O myself don't speak any thai . If you are in UK apply 60 day TR visa that allows plenty time open bank account and deposit 800k.

Flown multiple times Air Asia never weighed bag once. I'd looks like you have 15kg carry on luggage they have a point, but be sensible there's no issues.
