yes quite funny hey? And specifically for “money laundering regulations” you end up putting an address you haven’t lived at for ages?! Sure! Got my yellow book now though so that’ll work if I ever need anything from them again.

Yep when I got a resident certificate recently they weren’t happy with the end date not being filled in (and therefore stay showing as 0 days). I just made a new one with my wife and all good. But it’s a bit annoying I’ll have to remember to make another at some point…

yes, 180 days + a year and you’re a tax resident. That is pretty standard around the world.

essentially I think the decision for a lot of people looking to extend is “can I be bothered with/do I want to find flights and possible accommodation out of the country for less than 10k”.

Great visa for those who want to use Thailand as a base and travel around a bit!
