2 T.V and cross border by bus.. You're lucky they still allowed you in. Some people have been denied after their first border run.

But the real question is are you really a tourist or are you working or doing something else here?

Did they ask you for proof of funds?

Have you considered an ED or Non-B Visa?

No appointments Kev, but you might have to wait overnight.. like 2 days maybe.

Mauritian.. I got my Non Visa years ago from the embassy in South Africa (via a consulate in my country).

Switched to Non-O without leaving Thailand. But it was like going through hell.

It doesn't apply to all nationalities though, be sure to check if your country is on the list.

Still relevant, my other friends have been doing it for years.

Is that a question or..?

Anyway, Google is your friend! Feel free to call the nearest embassy or consulate.

Bring your landlord's Tambian baan and house contract + his ID and that of your wife etc... they are supposed to do it.

Unless you own your house with your wife and have your name in a Tambian Baan already. Then you'll need your certified translated passport as your name is written in Thai.

I don't have an embassy here, that's how i did.

Anyway, not visa related... the post will soon be closed. Good luck! :)

As usual, good post. 👍🏽

+ The immigration officer has the right to request additional or alternate paperwork, like in my case as I don't have an embassy here.

As long as you provide what they ask and in due time (without playing games), they will issue you your visa or extension.

I overstayed a month as they delayed my paperwork but eventually granted me everything (WITH NO FEES OR PENALTY).
